  Version: Macsome AudioBook Converter 1.5.4

  Pros

  I have converted over 20 books in the last month and it works totally fine and plays fine on other players. No problem yet. I start it before I go to sleep and wake up and all 6 (8 hour) parts have been covered to m4b (iTunes book).
  
  No problems yet. Does 5x speed.

  Cons

  Can't use iTunes at the same time.

  Summary

  Has worked for me - no crashes and have been able to convert my files faster than other DRM converters and I have tried a lot! The other ones only do one at a time at real time speed. This one does 5 in the time it would take to do 1 with real time.

  Realize I am talking about audible files - I don't know about iTunes DRM files.
