If you'd like transportate a 5MB document in a floppy disk to your home, or fit a 400MB archive in two ZIP discs, or even move a 7GB film to a computer with a DVD burner and you only have a single CD-RW, this is your tool. If you wish share a 6MB document with your PC-friends over the internet and you can only put up online chunks of 1MB because of your ISP restrictions, this is your tool.
MacHacha will do a simple job: split archives into smaller parts and join them when requested.

Don't know as I was not interested in splitting a file.

Don't know as I was not interested in re-combining a previously split file. The description is misleading as it says "MacHacha is a utility to split and join files" when it should say "re-combine" or "re-join" files that have been previously split by a utility and have x.y.001/2/3 formats?
Summary
I tried joining 3 files: MOV00011.mpg, MOV00012.mpg, MOV00013.mpg and got a flash msg so fast that I could not read it. I converted my files to mp4 and tried again with same result. I spent time looking up descriptions of this tool and realized that it re-joins file that you have already split using this utility or a similar utility.
It needs to explain by adding sample before and after file names. For wasting my time, I gave it 2 stars although when used as intended it may perform extremely well. -

The "Help" within the programme is rather archaic and not up to today's help format.
Summary
Simple and easy to use because it is basically a one trick pony: archivinf or concatenatin. The price is right on: free.
