• Can't concat same file types-concats prev splits?

  Don't know as I was not interested in re-combining a previously split file. The description is misleading as it says "MacHacha is a utility to split and join files" when it should say "re-combine" or "re-join" files that have been previously split by a utility and have x.y.001/2/3 formats?

  Summary

  I tried joining 3 files: MOV00011.mpg, MOV00012.mpg, MOV00013.mpg and got a flash msg so fast that I could not read it. I converted my files to mp4 and tried again with same result. I spent time looking up descriptions of this tool and realized that it re-joins file that you have already split using this utility or a similar utility. It needs to explain by adding sample before and after file names. For wasting my time, I gave it 2 stars although when used as intended it may perform extremely well.

  The "Help" within the programme is rather archaic and not up to today's help format.

  Summary

  Simple and easy to use because it is basically a one trick pony: archivinf or concatenatin. The price is right on: free.

But, on first launch, it ran around my machine changing all sorts of things without permission. For example, some things that were once applications suddenly earned the kind "MacHacha document." Putting everything back the way it should be is still not done. I am very grumpy and MacHacha was immediately consigned to the trash. I'll go bacdk to doing my joining with Split &amp; Concat which works for me every time. And comes with documentation!

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Love the app, extremely easy to use. Had no problems with it until I decided to upgrade it and found that it wouldn't run on my Jaguar 10.2.8 system. Sent an email to the author and my problem was quickly solved. Great support!
