Publisher's description
From Unbearable Lightness of Bit :Lory Player is an open source and completely cross platform .flv (flash video) files reader. It doesn't require any installation neither codec installed, because it's just a HTML file with a Flash object inside. It supports also .swf, .mp3 and many other file formats; tipically, it's used to play .flv files ripped from YouTube or other online video services. Why installing another player or codec to play local flash videos, when your browser is already able to do the same?
To use Lory Player, you only need a Web browser with Flash plugin installed and Javascript enabled. Lory Player works on Windows (virtually any version), Linux, Mac OS; it has been tested with Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Firefox 1.5 and 2, Safari and Camino, but should work on any other Flash-capable browser. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
