"I can access my computer from anywhere"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
Simple and fast; extremely reliable and secure. Latest free version (August 2009) is considerably improved.
Cons
Needs an I.E. ActiveX or a Firefox plugin which may be problem on some computers.

"Been using it for years, and it works GREAT!"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
It just works the way you want, 99% of the time.
It REALLY is FREE; at least it has been for years.Cons
Every once in a while, a PC will go offline, and it may need to be rebooted. But that has always taken care of it. Other than that, just about perfect.
Summary
I've been using it for a few years, for about 5 different PCs. (No, this is allowed, because they're not all mine; I set it up for other people. They use it, and occasionally ask me to log in and look at or fix something.)
I've had it on my personal PC for about 3 years, and never gave them my credit card number.
The only complaints I ever get are about speed, or something that they don't know how to use it, and once I show them they're happy. Of course, ANY remote access will have speed issues sometimes, so I recommend LogMeIn enthusiastically, and it's one of the VERY few pieces of software I do that with.
Oh, by the way, what do I do for a living? I write software.
"Delighted" is not too strong a word for how people react after I set it up for them. Especially if they just bought a netbook and are going to travel with it.
Why is it that the free software so often works better than the stuff you have to pay for? And is that related to why it's so hard go get people to pay me for writing software? Just asking. -
"Login to my PC and Mac for free even on low bandwidth"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
I can login to my PC and my Mac from anywhere even with minimal bandwidth. I have rarely had problems with the service, and I can even restart my machines remotely. I cannot believe its free and this reliable or functional. Love it!
Cons
Once in a blue moon I get a notice that ActiveX or Java isn't enabled in my browser so it's using a screen shot method of some kind, it's less functional than normal but rarely happens. (Yes these things are enabled)

"Control all the computers on your home network."
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
Easy to set up and use. No problems.
Cons
No drag and drop. Can't hear speakers on other computers. Only works on your local network.
Pro version expensive for personal use.Summary
Log on to your Office computer, and fix the problems on your wife's computer, while watching Tv from your den.
Files can be easily transferred via Public folders, or across network folders. Pro version allows drag n drop, but then you pay monthly (HORRORS). Pro version has -
"Great product and really free!"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
Quick to set up, easy to add multiple computers, and the free version is completely functional unless you want to do file transfers - for that you pay the upgrade cost.
Cons
None at all
Summary
Easy to use, free, and absolutely no problems.

"Pretty Amazing!!"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
Ease of installation. Installed perfectly and worked the first time. Thank you Logme in!! Can't wait to cancel Go to My PC at $179.
Cons
None so far.
Summary
Easy access to all my computers and price can't be beat!!

"Great software, and Free version really is FREE"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
Love it, lets me access my home PC while traveling with my laptop. Extremely useful. At the end of my 30-day trial of the Pro version, I chose the Free version, which lacks some of the capabilities of the Pro version but meets my needs very well.
Cons
Can't think of any cons (other than noting from the comments here that some people seem confused about how to switch from the 30-day trial of the Pro version to the Free version at end of their trial.)
Summary
I really like LogMeIn, and use it often. As for the negative comments from people who think the free version is a just marketing ploy, all I can say is I've been using the free version for over six months now, and it is indeed free. Apparently, some folks get confused at the end of their free 30-day trial of the Pro version and choose to sign up for Pro, which does have a monthly cost, instead of switching to the free version when their trial ends. (And for the record, I think the Pro version is a good deal if you want the additional features it offers.)

"Only limited use so far, but straightforward enough!"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
Easy install; straightforward to use
Cons
None so far;
Summary
Easily installed and straightforward to use in the limited time I've had it so far.
-
"Works fine...trivial to install...easy to use..."
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
Cuts through Nat/firewall/modem/routers like they weren't there. Zero config. Reasonably fast for a browser based interface. Price is right for free version.
Cons
Could be faster. Not as configurable as I'd like.
Summary
Simple software install with no change to router/nat/firewall/modem. (Make sure you setup the host machine -only- with this software.) Simple browser interface for 'guest module'. Only guest install is a browser plug-in. Just log onto the created logmein account and click on the hosted computer. I like the redirected remote printer output to local machine feature. Not so much the redirected audio. Overall a pleasant surprise.

"Great service/great price! Reliable, easy to set up."
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.784
Pros
Easy to take over a remote PC and to send files back and forth. The cost for 1 PC is 1/3 the cost of GOTOMYPC.
Cons
I wish they had a special rate plan for 3 PC's (they have one for 5 PC's).
Summary
Best remote access software out there.
