"v 1.1.0.38"
Version: Link Advisor 1
Pros
Lead to this by LinkScanner Lite (conflicted with My Firewall) when, I noticed it uses CallingID to do its searches. I thought I'd give it a try in hopes of finding a more stable program. So far, so good.
I appreciate the information it displays when hovering over any link. I decide if I want to proceed or not.
Stable - does not interfere with Firewall, or other software.
Quick Hover bar is Short rectangle display in IE and Long thin strip display in FireFox. Shows - (Colour coded) Verified safe (or not), owner and address.
Also has a small colour coded icon in taskbar of IE7 or Firefox with hover/click info of present site.
Works in other programs, email, IM's
Free - none commercial use.
Can change setting - to show only when "Ctrl" is click - if annoyed by display.
Nice little program. Simple and fast.
Cons
Spy (Prevention) Software Sites marked as Dangerous. Although, it seems to be common even, in many security blockers, it's annoying when you know the site to be safe and even more so, if your not sure. I can proceed if I so choose but, I would prefer... "yes"... even more accuracy.
