The DevCentre (LDC) IDE targets development around database driven Web applications utilizing Open Source Technologies. This framework is designed to optimize development with the Apache Tomcat application server. The Likha framework allows one to connect and deploy through a secure architecture as well as remotely stop, start, restart, and reload your Web projects with the simple mouse click without leaving the LDC. The LDC includes a pre-organized file structure for developing consistent structured Web application and pre-configured reusable code libraries. The LDC allows you create servlets, JSP, Java beans, HTML, and CSS. Furthermore, it is compatible with MySQL and utilizes PUTTY and SSL for secure communication.

Summary: I found this tool very useful for developing and deploying my applications. I most pleased with how I can now control my project deployments by automatically sending my war files to the app server and bouncing my application.
