"It Was Great"
Version: LicenseKeeper 1.8.2
Pros
Easy to use and had everything you need for application documentation right down to purchase date. At one time it worked perfect.
Cons
No longer works since I upgraded to OSX 10.7.4
Instant Crash upon open. Immediate report to apple dialogue box.
Did complete reinstall by first removing all application files using a program called appcleaner. Still didn't work. It seems it developer has given up on fixing issues and updating product to work with Apple's updates.Summary
Was good but if might not work if you are using the latest version of Apple OSX from 10.7 on up, perhaps even earlier. I liked it because I also bought the IPOD sister version. Now I deleted it totally from my Mac using APPCLEANER which is another great little application to have when removing programs because it finds all files associated with the application and removes them. Incidentally, before I gave up completely on LicenseKeeper I did do a complete uninstall, install and continued to get complete instant crash. So this program is NOT compatible with new versions of the OS, possibly since Snow Leopard.

"A highly-recommend, must-have app!"
Version: LicenseKeeper 1.4.4

These days with so many apps to track, this is a must-have. Yes, there is other software that tries to accomplish the same task, but I've tried many of them and LicenseKeeper is the best of the bunch. It's not a Swiss Army knife type of app. It's dedicated to the sole purpose of tracking your software.
I really like how easy it is to update entries. And adding documents and emails about an app is really easy and useful. No more hunting through old email trying to find that receipt with the serial number. The number and the receipt is easy to find in LicenseKeeper.
I also like the feature that tracks when a program was purchased, and how much was paid. I also use the notes feature for such things as recording the names of the users of a multi-user license, or what an app does, or my personal rating of an app that I own, or where I acquired the app.
The developer is responsive, too. I've sent suggestions and received a personal reply. He also keeps the app updated frequently.
This app is on my A list along with SuperDuper! and 1Password and Dropbox!

"Terrific Software"
Version: LicenseKeeper 1.3.4
Summary

I have used Excel spreadsheets, Filemaker databases and just plain printouts, but LicenseKeeper is by far the best piece of software for keeping track of Software Registration and Licences. I find its ability to scan emails and extract the registration codes quite remarkable. It is quite intuitive to use. I was able to build up a list of my software and enter all the codes in less than an hour. Well recommended!! -
"Great"
Version: LicenseKeeper 1.3.4
Summary

There are a million ways to track your licenses, but I really like having a single app that keeps it all in one place, dedicated to only that. A useful feature for me is that you can store other docs along with the license. These could be PDF files sent with your license (startly software sent their license out like this to me) or emails. This way I get to keep a copy of the original email or other docs which often has useful info. I know I can do that in other ways, but by using LicenseKeeper it encourages you to actually do it because it's all built in.
One great feature is that it attempts to parse email for the serial number, developer info and developers website. The cast majority of times it has pulled all that info correctly. I don't know if I'll need all that, but seeing as it's so simple it's nice to know it's all archived. Now if I buy a software (meh, I buy a lot!) I just run it thorough here, takes 15 seconds. -

"a good idea"
Version: LicenseKeeper 1.0.0
Summary

This Licensekeeper could be good, but its lack of password protection is for me a big downside, not being able to secure all my doc from prying eyes, is really a problem, Dev. why not implement like EVERY OTHER license keeper or serial keep or or password program the ability to have passworded protected files.
Program looks nice, works pretty good from what I can tell from a demo. NO PASSWORD protection! is a no go for me!
