Letterbox is a plugin for Apple's Mail.app that takes advantage of your widescreen monitor. It rearranges the interface into three vertical columns so the message pane is to the right of the message list, rather than below.

What's new in this version: This version of Letterbox is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.7 and the build of Mail on new MacBook Pros.

    "An essential and extremely useful app for Apple Mail."

    Version: Letterbox 0.24b9

    Pros

    Makes working with messages in Apple Mail so-o-o-o much easier. Easy to install. Does everything it promises. I can't figure out why Apple Mail doesn't include this feature to start with.

    Cons

    None that I have noticed and I have used this app through previous versions for several years now.

    Summary

    Get it. Use it. You'll love it.
