Publisher's Description
From Kekus Digital:
Based on Helmut Dersch's Panorama Tools, these plug-ins can simply be described as versitile, accurate and powerful. The plug-ins, which cost US$39.95 for the set of five, include:
- Adjust: for extracting or inserting corrected images to and from panoramas
- LensFix: A new plug-in for fixing distortions caused by lens imperfections and scanning misalignments including: radial, vertical and horizontal shift, shear, scale, and radial luminance, includes loadable databases of correction presets for many popular cameras and lenses
- Correct: original interface for lens correction. Includes cut frame and fourier filter options
- Perspective: for changing the viewing angle of an image
- Remap: for converting panorama types including normal, cylindrical QTVR, spherical, fisheye and convex mirror. Barrel and pincushion distortions found in many lenses can be corrected using the radial shift filter that can adjust the red, green and blue channels separately if you wish. What's more, the light fall off that commonly occurs near the edges of wide angle lenses can be corrected with the radial luminance filter.
What's new in this version:
- LensFix now reads EXIF info so user can select correction settings. Automatic selection of the correction settings is planned

"Not a very refined app"
Version: LensFix & PanoTools 4.3
Pros
Makes some improvement in distortion
Works as plug-in for Aperture 3Cons
Does not recognize lens from metadata
No helpSummary
I am using LensFix as a plugin in Aperture 3. It loaded easily, but I expected it to recognize my lens and working focal length from metadata. On every correction, it suggests a different, incorrect lens and focal length. Also, there is very little documentation with the app. I expected more.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
LensFix & PanoTootols are fantastic utilities for correcting photographs that are i.e. taken with a "fish eye" lens and be able to create panorama pictures etc. Kekus is a company with an exellent support. The prompt response to e-mail questions is superb. High class!! Recommended with highest marks! And thanks to Kevin Kratzke for his help!
