LAN Chat Enterprise(LCE) is designed to support exchanging messages in the regime of real time in a small office, in an educational institution. The program works on the conference principle. You can send private messages to some user and to create private channels for several users. It requires neither connecting to Internet nor a specialized (a selected) server. The program needs only a simple one-range network. The user can take complete control over the program and there's an opportunity to make all kinds of settings to his own liking. It gives each client of the network the opportunity to connect with any of the rest clients of the network to exchange messages on about their projects. Administrators and chiefs can send messages to either individual users or to groups of users, to departments or even to the whole office.

"It is the best for chat via LAN"

Pros
The product is a very7 nice one. It is free to use and you won't get better one even if you are buying another product.
Cons
When I switch users in a one pc It isn't working fine most of the time I had to log off one user.

I like this software because there is nothing else better than this product to chat via Lan.
It is better if they can fix the problem i'am facing when I switch users. When I switch users in a one pc It isn't working fine most of the time I had to log off one user.
I think the next step is to this software is to add voice and video chatting. Even now there is a way to do that. Installing 2 vlc players in each computers we can create video chat system. I've done that and it's too complicated to setup each time.
I'am waiting to chat with voice and video using next upgrade of this product. -

Summary
Lan Chat Enterprise is an excellent chat program for a network. My company is even using it for communication over our VPN to three other offices. It has several features, but needs a spell checker. The program is stable, but seems to use up all of the PCs RAM on Windows 98 PCs after about eight hours of continuous use. I have not noticed any memory issues on XP machines though. They are working on this problem though.
