KoolMoves sells itself on Flash animation, but there's more to it than that. The Flash-based design tool is the best we've seen, offering a nice mix of basic and advanced tools and options for a wide range of projects. The interface is well organized, hewing closely to Macromedia's style of graphical organization. The features are endless. You can draw an image, implement advanced object-manipulation by adding a skeleton to any created shape, and mix in MP3 or WAV audio with ease. Its other attractive features include masking, tweening, and support for Flash MX action scripting. Tutorials accompany you all the way through the program. The help file, although traditionally made, is outstanding. Just a quick glance at the text-effects menu will sell you on the software. The trial version spoils the joy by not letting you save the animations you produce, but that's more inducement to register immediately.Publisher's description

Version 5.1.3 has Flash 8 effects, Flash 8 interface components (for example list box, content pane, combo box, slider), an improved button editing environment, and almost 40 other improvements.

- Fixed problem with transformed symbol shape with a motion script.
- Fixed problem with preview animation sometimes playing in the wrong directory.
- Fixed problem introduced in 5.1 associated with with exporting button action script.

"Nice design and priced right"
Pros: Pretty easy to use and offers a lot of features that make your creations look professional.
Cons: Support is good, but a little slow.

"Great potential, lacking in areas"
Pros: Ease of use. Being a flash designer myself, it was easy to pick up.
Cons: Crippled demo. Strange update policy (this concerned me the most) made me decide not to purchase. Lack of a full featured support forum for customers. Many resources listed at main site are extremely outdated. AS1 not fully implemented. AS2 not at all.

"Time savvy simple tool for simple to moderate flash animations especially 4 web"
Pros: Simple, lots of Text effects... Simple interface, easy to learn(nothing to learn if u hv tried Macromedia Flash MX)
Cons: Demo version do not allow to save project files(in fla format, but it allows to save movie (swf) smoothly)...
