"4 star webcam but..."
Version: Kodak DVC323 Digital Video Camera 5.0.2195.1
Pros
Original software is win98.I found Win2000 drivers (said XP...liars).I installed anyway, and XP says camera is working fine (havn't tested it).I still lack the software.
Cons
Kodak lists this webcam under 'digital cameras',and they have universal digital camera software(doubt it has webcam options).Kodak has the DVC-323 manual ONLY !
CNET (download.com) has alot of universal webcam software (thanks CNET !).Summary
Kodak should have software for ALL their products....discontinued,or not.KODAK is my only complaint.I just want XP software for it...that too much to ask Kodak?
I've looked up old product software many times.Allmost ALL maunufactures had what i needed.(in kodaks defense,i havn't emailed them,or asked for advice) -
"Same here. On Win98 worked fine. Have a Vista now."
Version: Kodak DVC323 Digital Video Camera 5.0.2195.1
Pros
Got some great pictures with it on my microscope.
Cons
Camera was on sale when I bought it. Thats because KODAK was not going to support it any more. And they dont. So if you see a great buy !!!!! Thay probley are going to stop making them.
Summary
KODAK will lose more an more of the market. People will just stop buying from companies that dont support what thay sell. I cant afford to buy the new microscope cameras. And new operating systems keep comming out, but the support doesnt keep up.
