From Nucleus Data Recovery :Kernel for Exchange Server is an email recovery software which recovers corrupt, damaged, deleted emails from MS Exchange Server database files. The edb recovery software efficiently converts corrupt .EDB files to working .PST files through which emails of MS Exchange Server can be viewed with Microsoft Outlook email client.
Microsoft Exchange Server saves all the received, sent emails in an EDB database file which gets corrupt due to physical hard drive errors, jet errors, file size errors, exchange server failure due to improper shutdown, virus attacks and human errors. The .EDB and .STM files of exchange server save the emails which are required to perform email recovery by the exchange server data recovery software; edb recovery scans and repairs the corrupt .edb file and extracts all mail boxes from the database file. Inaccessible emails are then recovered from the corrupt files which can be saved at the user defined hard disk location.
The exchange server database recovery software supports email recovery from MS Exchange Server 2003 and 2007. The edb repair software efficiently recovers emails, email data, attachments, images, folders, tasks, notes, journals, appointments, sent items, permanently deleted emails, email properties and every other item which is there in the user mailbox.
Some of the errors which make the .edb file corrupt and damaged are:
