This free utility stores all your passwords in one database encrypted with the AES or Twofish algorithm. KeePass allows you to use strong, hack-proof passwords without hindering your PC's performance. For this purpose, the program provides a built-in password generator. The application boasts a number of features that help enforce protection of your data. For example, it can automatically lock a minimized database, empty the clipboard from time to time, and set an expiration date for each password. We found KeePass quite handy, as it lets you arrange your passwords into any number of groups and subgroups. Besides a login and a password, each entry may contain notes, attached files, and associated URLs. Unfortunately, KeePass can't automatically fill in Web forms, and the help file is inadequate. Also, since KeePass doesn't let you add or modify database fields, it will only work for storing passwords. Nevertheless, it does that job exceedingly well.Publisher's description
From Dominik Reichl :KeePass is a free password manager which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key-disk. So you only have to remember one single master password or insert the key-disk to unlock the whole database. Databases are encrypted using very secure encryption algorithms (AES and Twofish).

Pros: Great utility for organizing and encrypting all your passwords and keeping them locked in a safe container to carry where ever you many need it.

High end encryption. Helps with generating strong random password keys.
Cons: None at this time.

Pros: Very easy to use, you can store passwords for websites, email accounts.. all are protected by a master password. The user interface is very clean. You can download a zip package (which can run without installation) from the developer's site. Very practical if you want to have the software on a memory stick or external hard drive. Check it out!
Cons: none so far.

Pros: Great piece of software, just worked like it was supposed to. I sync it with my BB, and it works without incident every time. Very customizable, one of the best freeware password programs I've tried.

Pros: You can use the same database at work and home. Easy to use. The Keepass site had a link to some free videos at Hot Buttered IT (www dot hotbutteredit dot com) which guided me through the install and use. Got me up and running faster than reading docs, but it's actually easy to use even if you don't watch the videos.
Cons: No automatic fill for websites but there appears to be a 3rd party plugin available.
