Katana is an integrated personal firewall and VPN that interoperates with most other 3rd-party VPN gateways (CISCO, NetScreen, Sonicwall). Katana offers enterprise class security and remote access to small business and personal users without the extra expense. It can be used as a client or as a gateway. By including both a VPN client/gateway and a personal/perimeter firewall in a single product, Katana improves performance and eliminates the need to deploy several products and make them work together.

Version 2.1.4.6 fixes a bug that caused the remote connection to not function properly at times.
