"I had no trouble installing KSS."
Version: Kaspersky Security Scan 12.0.1.117
Pros
It seemed to be very thorough, scanning everything in my computer. It's free, and there was no problem with the AVG anti-virus I had at the time.
Cons
It took many hours to complete the scan.
Summary
Overall, it makes sense to have KSS as a backup scan along with your other software.

None. I could never use it.
Cons
The software was not able to install KSS on my machine. After a dozen emails with tech support, Kaspersky was still not able to make its software work.
Summary
Don't bother. There are other apps out there.
