- "Boilerplate protection from Kaspersky"
- Version reviewed: Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.2.614
Protecting your computer from viruses is not something to take lightly, so we're glad to say Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro does a reasonable job of keeping your PC safe. We like this application's unique features that protect Microsoft Office applications, as well as the new utilities for safeguarding archived files.
The interface divides the app's functionality into three main areas: Protection, Settings, and Support. The Protection tab offers the meat of the features, with tools for scanning drives, downloading the latest virus definitions, quarantining offenders, archiving, and generating reports. The Settings tab supplies a number of options for configuring the level of protection, scheduling events, tailoring the interface, or adjusting the program's behavior to your liking. The Support tab also gives you some nice features, including a virus encyclopedia and an option for sending the app's developers a questionable file for analysis.
Recently, Kaspersky has been slightly outperformed in catching threats and we find the price to be a bit steep. All told, though, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro's combination of tools and features make it an excellent choice for personal use.

Version: Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.2.614
Pros: This Security Suite is great. I have used Zone Alarm Trend Micro Norton and Mcafee. This one is better than all of these. It takes a little time to get used to the interface but once you do it is simple and easy to configure. The firewall is strong and the antivirus is even stronger. Its a no nonsense program that does what its supposed to. Great product!
Cons: The proactive defense can be a little irritating. If you download a lot of programs the application guard and registry guard will have a lot of pop ups. This is what they are designed to do though.

"Offers good protection, thats they way I like it"
Pros: This is a really trust-worthy program offering great protection and service, for some reason this strongly reminds me of another anti-virus protection Panada. Doesn't hog your computer like some programs do and makes sure your computer is running effiencently and cleanly. I say this is a a two thumbs up!
Cons: The only con i saw here, was that the price seemed a little bit overpriced. I know other software that offer the same protection with updates for half the price. But don't let this change your mind.

Version: Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.2.614
Pros: nothing!
Cons: I installed this software on my Wifes Laptop and after running a full scan the laptop was still slow! After running G-Data Worm remover which removed numerous worms the laptop was its usual self again. So where was Kaspersky!I know this program is popular but i found it overpriced and overrated. When i ran a scan on my desktop it actually makes a noise when it mounts your harddrive to do the scan! This resulted in me having to replace my harddrive, so i would not touch this application with a 10 foot pole! The internet protection is just a scam because all it does is ask you if you want to allow the popups or dissallow the popups, this action Google does for you for nothing! It is very Robust and Hard on your P.C. and also slows your P.C. down. Not recommended by me but i am sure the KISS fans will disagree!

Version: Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.2.614
Pros: Security without service!
Cons: I have been writing these guys for some time now. I haven't heard a sigh yet. A security company must be alert and attentive to its users. Kaspersky is a mute cachier.
