  "Good Anti-Virus.....Hampered with bad updates!"

  Pros: The detection rates and their effeciency of cleaning bugs is good and infact best!

  Its light on your PC and does its job well...

  Cons: 1.Their anti-virus updates regulary corrupts virus definitions and even after repeated posts in their forum,their was no reprieve!

  2.The Anti-Spy modules isn't great with many problems it creates on sites like here..(which is why its off by default)

  3.Their support is horrendous which only asks for logs and ask you to re-install..

  4.Way too pricey with $80!!!

  5.Even after so many bugs being reported,developers have hardly made any effort o solve them properly!

  "Thanks to the Kaspersky 'Anti' Virus Trouble..."

  Pros: i couldn't see anything nice in this soft ware.

  Cons: Because,it has deactivated almost everything in my computer. for example,my downloaded and 'ready for install' programs such as opera,tune-up,ad-aware.these softwares are not functioning now,not even being installed!!! and i'll tell you the best thing:this program calls itself 'antivirus', refusing to uninstall!!! can you believe? ... i wonder why this software is so famous.. my windows software is done for now, thanks to the kaspersky..

  "Drastically reduces bandwidth speed"

  Pros: Easy to use and feature rich. Seems to protect the users machine well.

  Cons: I almost paid for a license, but, stopped dead in my tracks when I could tell my bandwidth was substantial reduced on the download side.

  My normal bandwidth is as follows without Kaspersky Loaded

  Download Speed: 7219 kbps (902.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

  Upload Speed: 716 kbps (89.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

  With Kaspersky loaded:

  Download Speed: 4146 kbps (518.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

  Upload Speed: 682 kbps (85.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

  Disabling the Web protection option brings my connection speed closer to normal, but, still not acceptable:

  Download Speed: 6079 kbps (759.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

  Upload Speed: 688 kbps (86 KB/sec transfer rate)

  I was hoping to use this as I need an anti virus product that I can customize. I have one directory that I can not allow any anti-virus product to scan as it would corrupt the files since they are FTP'd files that are compressed and encrypted.

  This is a shame as I really liked it's design and functionallity.

  This is definately not a keeper on my machine until they correct the drastic bandwidth reduction issue.

  "Great protection at a cost"

  Pros: Lots of good features but at a cost...

  Cons: This AV causes an unacceptable reduction of bandwidth. I have tried all the fixes suggested on the Kaspersky forums but at best it still causes a 20% approx. reduction in download speeds. I will be sticking with NOD32 for the time being as this has no noticeable impact on my internet speed

  "Won't update, kaspersky will not respond"

  Pros: 30 day free trial

  Cons: Error message 24/7 saying signatures out of date but will not update. Redownloaded program and same problem agian. Help email does not respond.
