Manage updates with the Download AppCNET Editors' review
This freeware event viewer falls short of the already-present Windows version. K2eMon's plain, spreadsheet-style interface simply displays event numbers, times, and messages. A help file is unnecessary, as what you see is what you get. Unfortunately, what you get with this program is less than what you get with your PCs built-in Windows Event Viewer.
Operating K2eMon is simple. You start it and chose what event type you would like to see displayed. The program can display the same system event logs as with Event Viewer. Depending on your version of Windows and installed programs, you'll see at least Application, Security, and System logs. Only one set at a time, though, but you can easily filter or highlight items using a quick pull-down menu. There is no method to save logs, or change fonts for readability.
Though this is freeware, we saw little to convince us to bother installing this application. It is not any easier to use than Windows Event Viewer, and it presents less information.
