Publisher's Description
From K-Meleon:
K-Meleon is a new browser based on Mozilla's Gecko, the high-speed Web page rendering engine. The interface borrows heavily from Internet Explorer, as does the bookmarking system. Because this is a beta version, several components are not yet implemented, including the context menu, HTTPs, history, cookie saving, mime types handling, and other advanced features. Version 0.7 features enhanced cookie/proxy support, full-screen mode, user configurable menus, and hot keys. The bookmarks plug-in has been rewritten, the macros plug-in has been considerably enhanced, and a new Opera Bookmarks plug-in and a new layers plug-in for tabbed browsing were added. Additional features include support for 25 different languages as well as support for skins.

"Lightweight browser...'nuff said."
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
K-Meleon was a very fast browser. I guess that's to be expected since it runs of the Mozilla Geko engine. It has tabbed browsing (which browser doesn't these days). Plus, it's a lightweight browser so it's very easy to use for people who have trouble configuring browsers.
Cons
Since it was a lightweight browser, it has very little features. I didn't like the way you have to open a new tab. They should add a new tab button or something.

"Ugly, and Not User Friendly"
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
Well it is very fast as the other reviews have already said.
Cons
It is the most ugly and un-user friendly browser i've ever seen. You'd be better off with Avant Browser

"A clean, lean fast browser"
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
The strengths of this browser are taking the powerful Mozilla engine and cutting out the superflous stuff, so you get the same sort of speed but simplicity of function. It might not be able to tell you the weather, display a Periodoc table or make you a cup of tea, but it does all the basics well
I thinks its particularly straightforward to use, and I like the 'layers' thing instead of tabs as, to my mind, thats a more intuitive way of looking at things.
Cons
Minor gripes are a lack of skins, and some basic extensions would be useful, but this is the browser if you don't want the 'all-singing dancing' types that look like a sapce shuttle console..

"Who knows, it never connected to the 'net for me!"
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
It's free
Cons
It never, ever connected to the internet after installation. Never. I spent about 30 minutes trying to figure it out, cruised the forum and nothing. Nada. I uninstalled the thing; at least Firefox, Opera, Maxathon etc, operate out of the box.
This might be the best thing since sliced bread, I'll never find out.

"Really simple to use and FAST!"
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
I would have to say this is a really nice browser. Download 0.9 on the K-Meleon site..I guess download.com hasn't updated this in a while..anyways, K-Meleon is fast, same as Firefox and Opera on speed so no complaints here. Kind of confusing but not really once you get to know the browser and work with it for a while. I test out a lot of browsers, and so far this has made the list along with Firefox, Netscape, Opera and Avant. So try K-Meleon out! I know you will love it!
Cons
Maybe a little confusing for some people but come on.. you people are smart, you will figure it out. Download manager is kind of strange but oh well, probably because they haven't updated in a while. But then again, who likes to always have to update?? This browser works fine so everyone should give it a try.

"Firefox Clone"
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
Good interface. Fast browsing.
Cons
K-Meleon has cloned many features of firefox. They have used tabbed browsing but yet they call it layers. This program is not completely self satisfying. There are many other browsers out there that are much better than K-Meleon. There is: Firefox, IE, Netscape, Mozilla Suite, SmartFox or opera. K-Meleon is not the only browser out there. Furthermore, K-Meleon has no further extensions, plug-ins or themes. Firefox has millions of extensions that make it more helpful. Really, I recommend firefox.

"There is a newer version off K-Meleon."
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
It is the most fast browser, but its better for you to go to the authors page to download the newer version of K-Meleon the 0.9.

"Cool K-Meleon."
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
This is one lean browser. No bloatware in it whatsoever. I can't believe it...K-Meleon is as fast as Firefox!!! This thing loads pages in a flash. Very stramlined interface. The browser comes with a built-in option for viewing pages in IE, so if they can't display in the "K", you can view them in IE. Comes with a plugin that reads favorites from IE, when it is enabled. On the main web page, it gives many tutorials for using and configuring the browser. Oh, and the latest version is version 0.9, which you can download from the website.
Cons
Configuring the preferences for this browser are very tricky. This is a good browser for people who are programmers, but it may be a bit hard for basic internet users. Still, learning the ins and outs of the configuration options is well worth it, if you have the time and energy. The forums are helpful, and the people on them do not act as superior know-it-alls, like they sometimes do on the Firefox forum. I have had a minor problem with K-Meleon dropping large downloads while I am browsing other websites. Still, this problem is not major enough for me to consider not using this browser. Some of the terminology is confusing, for example, it calls tabs "layers". Getting and installing new skins could be much easier. This browser is not as fully functional as the others on the market. Many of its features are quite abbreviated. Still, a great place to begin for those who want a configurable browser without having to download extensions.

"not so good"
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
K-Meleon is a very fast and lightweight browser. Good for people who want less features for a faster browser.
Cons
K-Meleon lacks many of the features in opera and firefox. It is harder to configure. You can't download extensions to add features like in firefox. Some of the terms are different, like tabs are called layers. K-Meleon is a lot harder to use for the average user.

"Fastest Browser Ever"
Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros
This browser is lightning fast and sleek. I have never seen a browser load webpages like k-meleon. It has the safety firefox and basic features like popup blocking and tabbed browsing.
Cons
I don't like its default interface. The buttson look like the ones on IE 5. It takes some time to get used to the controls. It is also a big hassle to set up. Some of the terminology is hard to understand. For example tabs are "layers" in k-meleon. Not for beginners who want to find an alternative to IE.
