Publisher's description
From K-Meleon :K-Meleon is a new browser based on Mozilla's Gecko, the high-speed Web page rendering engine. The interface borrows heavily from Internet Explorer, as does the bookmarking system. Because this is a beta version, several components are not yet implemented, including the context menu, HTTPs, history, cookie saving, mime types handling, and other advanced features. Version 0.7 features enhanced cookie/proxy support, full-screen mode, user configurable menus, and hot keys. The bookmarks plug-in has been rewritten, the macros plug-in has been considerably enhanced, and a new Opera Bookmarks plug-in and a new layers plug-in for tabbed browsing were added. Additional features include support for 25 different languages as well as support for skins.

Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros: This browser is lightning fast and sleek. I have never seen a browser load webpages like k-meleon. It has the safety firefox and basic features like popup blocking and tabbed browsing.
Cons: I don't like its default interface. The buttson look like the ones on IE 5. It takes some time to get used to the controls. It is also a big hassle to set up. Some of the terminology is hard to understand. For example tabs are "layers" in k-meleon. Not for beginners who want to find an alternative to IE.

Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros: Compare this and the speed of light! There's just 1% diff! It's uber fast! There's an updated version though, and it's compatible with XP. Check the K-Meleon website, and there's version 0.9! It's great! It's even faster than Opera! This is the only browser that surpassed Opera's speed! It has a clear interface, and it's easy to navigate! I really like it, though it's not my default browser. It's really great!! I can't help saying it! It may be one of the least popular browsers available, but; humble and meek, this browser's one of the best! Get it now!
Cons: You can't download any more themes, tabs are called layers which makes it confusing! Toolbar icons aren't graphically intuitive. Besides that, it's great!

Version: K-Meleon 0.7
Pros: This is one lean browser. No bloatware in it whatsoever. I can't believe it...K-Meleon is as fast as Firefox!!! This thing loads pages in a flash. Very stramlined interface. The browser comes with a built-in option for viewing pages in IE, so if they can't display in the "K", you can view them in IE. Comes with a plugin that reads favorites from IE, when it is enabled. On the main web page, it gives many tutorials for using and configuring the browser. Oh, and the latest version is version 0.9, which you can download from the website.
Cons: Configuring the preferences for this browser are very tricky. This is a good browser for people who are programmers, but it may be a bit hard for basic internet users. Still, learning the ins and outs of the configuration options is well worth it, if you have the time and energy. The forums are helpful, and the people on them do not act as superior know-it-alls, like they sometimes do on the Firefox forum. I have had a minor problem with K-Meleon dropping large downloads while I am browsing other websites. Still, this problem is not major enough for me to consider not using this browser. Some of the terminology is confusing, for example, it calls tabs "layers". Getting and installing new skins could be much easier. This browser is not as fully functional as the others on the market. Many of its features are quite abbreviated. Still, a great place to begin for those who want a configurable browser without having to download extensions.
