Multinetwork chatting from the mobile phone is getting better all the time, and we have JiveTalk to thank in part for recent improvements. Logical chat flows make it easy to switch among open conversations from the large chat window or buddy screen, and emoticons are crucially present. While file-sharing is limited to certain accounts, the easy-on-the-eyes interface, with its kettleful of skins for the chat window, makes chatting on JiveTalk a seamless pursuit.

Pros: Simple, Intuitive, and a great program. A light among darkness in the blackberry world. Verizon could and should learn from their example.
Cons: The only con is that the program does not automatically sign in when it is restarted.

Pros: Many features. A lot better then the AIM program that comes with the BlackBerry. You can send smiley's and view status. It also keeps a log of your conversations that can be retrieved at any time.
Cons: Sometimes it doesn't send messages and you don't know whether they received it or not and have to fully shut down the program for it to work correctly again.
Summary: It only has 1 flaw that doesn't happen to often. Otherwise I highly recommend it.
