During installation, you have to be careful if you don't want to set JetAudio Basic as the default application for audio and video files. However, the freeware application gives you plenty of reasons to make it your only player.
The interface has a modern design that looks like an equalizer. You can customize each section of the program, from CD ripping to format conversion, to your heart's content. The program can convert files among some a number of formats, as well as read and edit MP3 tags. The built-in Cross-fader, Reverb, and Wide-sound modes provide a nice touch not found in most MP3 players. The program becomes truly unique with its clock, however, which features a timer and an alarm. We also appreciate the inclusion of a tool for seeking out song lyrics.
Our only quibble is it treats a playlist as an album but uses the artist as its primary key field, making it difficult to locate mixes. JetAudio Basic's appealing product set should attract audiophiles.

JetAudio plays most major file formats and various video or audio tracks. You can even convert audio files to various formats. Other features include: sound effects (Wide, Reverb, and X-Bass), multichannel sound output, speed control for audio playback, cross-fading, skin changes, and synchronized lyric display for MIDI and MP3s.
Version 7.5.4 supports MusePack SV8 format, adds Page Up/Down scroll in Remote Controller plugin (by Prev/Next buttons).

Music player is superb, infact best in its class.
Can play hi-definition content at ease.
Can easily be your default player, one stop solution for audio and video needs.Cons: Cons, I am sorry its very hard to find in this great software.
But if its really customary to mention them then .....Basic vesrion don't contain some features (Jet power toys, etc), but nobody is going to miss them.Summary: The software is designed by COWON, the legendary company who are behind some of the best mp3 players or digital media player ever known to mankind. Pros: I use Jet Audio to convert midi files to recordable WAV files for my symphony chorus. It's fast, easy, and foolproof.
Cons: MP3 conversion from midi files would be useful, as we're now posting rehearsal materials on our website as well as creating audio CDs for our singers.
Summary: It's a dependable application, easy to use.

"Plays almost everything for Free!"
Pros: Plays most media types without need of extra codecs, has an excellent internal MIDI player and great movie player. Has a great audio converter included, very easy to use interface and it's free!
Cons: Would be great to add more codecs like OGV and others.
Summary: I highly recommend this media player for anyone looking for an alternative to WMP or another other. This is an all around great player.

"One and only the best in its class"
Pros: Play almost all the music files, and basic version is also sophisticated.
Cons: Cannot play all the files, Some time Disturb window desktop menu while just minimized to the tray (Not refreshed completely)
Summary: Almost all is best.
