Despite a notable flaw, this free program makes it convenient to view the contents of your hard drive and locate space-hogging files. After you install JDiskReport, you must select which area of your PC you'd like it to scan. This application demonstrates good speed, as it scanned our 75GB hard drive in less than two minutes. Once the program has collected its information, it displays the contents of any drive, folder, or subfolder in a colorful pie or bar graph. Each graph tells you how much space certain folders or files are consuming, and the tabbed interface provides a section listing the largest 100 files in any particular location. Navigating among different folders is a breeze, thanks to the Explorer-like tree found in the main window's left pane. In addition, JDiskReport supplies information on the distribution of file sizes, types, and modification dates. Our main complaint is the utility won't let you delete or move files, forcing you to launch Windows Explorer to clean your machine. It works pretty well and has the ability to display reports in different formats, which can be handy. The results once accumulated can be easily browsed through. The interface is clean and easy to use.
Cons
After you have actually done some modifying, shifting, deleting data, etc.. The report has to be regenerated which means a scan all over again. Which , if you are dealing with large data structures can be time consuming.
