Many programs can help you create photo albums for the Web, but few balance ease of use and functionality as gracefully as the free JAlbum. In JAlbum, you assemble your project step-by-step, arranging simple tasks in a logical order. You specify the original image folder, set the album-destination folder, select the images, and generate the album. The program offers a considerable variety of skins for your album and lets you preview them prior to selection. You can easily create a customized slide show from your images, too. The impressive online help pages provide tutorials and detailed assistance. Our favorite feature, however, was the built-in FTP client, which lets you directly upload projects to your Web site. Overall, Jalbum's clear interface and abundant features lift it above most of its competitors.

Free advanced web photo album generator with index pages and slideshows. Now with JSP/ASP-like scripting, integrated smart FTP client, improved EXIF handling and more. Drop folders containing image and movie files onto JAlbum. JAlbum will create thumbnails of your images and display them in index pages in HTML. You can also have JAlbum produce slide shows of your images for easy navigation. The apperance of the generated albums can be fully configured through the use of skins.

What's new in this version:

• JAlbum now uses "THM" files (produced by Canon and Sony cameras for instance) to represent movie files instead of plain icons. ("THM" files are ordinary JPEG files with a "THM" extension)
• File extensions cannot accidently be changed when renaming files
• Chameleon skin updated to v2.92. Thank you Laza!
• Editing comments in the new Edit section was a real memory eater causing JAlbum to slow down after browsing through a number of images (since v6.0). This part is n... see all new features
