Many programs can help you create photo albums for the Web, but few balance ease of use and functionality as gracefully as the free JAlbum. In JAlbum, you assemble your project step-by-step, arranging simple tasks in a logical order. You specify the original image folder, set the album-destination folder, select the images, and generate the album. The program offers a considerable variety of skins for your album and lets you preview them prior to selection. You can easily create a customized slide show from your images, too. The impressive online help pages provide tutorials and detailed assistance. Our favorite feature, however, was the built-in FTP client, which lets you directly upload projects to your Web site. Overall, Jalbum's clear interface and abundant features lift it above most of its competitors.

Free advanced web photo album generator with index pages and slideshows. Now with JSP/ASP-like scripting, integrated smart FTP client, improved EXIF handling and more. Drop folders containing image and movie files onto JAlbum. JAlbum will create thumbnails of your images and display them in index pages in HTML. You can also have JAlbum produce slide shows of your images for easy navigation. The apperance of the generated albums can be fully configured through the use of skins.

• JAlbum now has tree image scaling methods. The classic low and high quality scaling and the scaling method introduced in JAlbum 7 (labeled "medium")
• Bundled skin BluPlusPlus updated to v4
• Bundled skin Chameleon updated to v4.0.2
• Now uses backspace to delete files on Mac instead of delete key
• Settings window is again always on top of main window (previous behaviour sometimes prevented drag and drop on settings window)
