Many programs can help you create photo albums for the Web, but few balance ease of use and functionality as gracefully as the free JAlbum. In JAlbum, you assemble your project step-by-step, arranging simple tasks in a logical order. You specify the original image folder, set the album-destination folder, select the images, and generate the album. The program offers a considerable variety of skins for your album and lets you preview them prior to selection. You can easily create a customized slide show from your images, too. The impressive online help pages provide tutorials and detailed assistance. Our favorite feature, however, was the built-in FTP client, which lets you directly upload projects to your Web site. Overall, Jalbum's clear interface and abundant features elevate it above most of its competitors.Publisher's description
From JAlbum AB :This software allows you to create nice-looking photo galleries for the Web. You simply select or drag and drop folders containing images or movie files onto JAlbum, and it creates thumbnails and HTML pages to publish your images as a gallery or as a picture slide show. The galleries are based on various templates, and their appearance can be further customized by advanced users. The application's additional features include support for IPTC/EXIF data, style sheets, lossless image manipulation, pluggable image filters, and a built-in FTP/SFTP client. Version 6.4 improved handling of movie files, features faster and more memory conservative comment editing section; fixed image ordering bug; added various improvements to the Edit section, some other enhancements.

Version: JAlbum 6.4
"Best user friendly software to create album"
Pros: I am using it for more than 3 year and I can say this is the best.
Easy to work with it.
Simple options.
FTP facility (this is the best options I can say. You can create the album and just upload entire album in one shot).
1000s and 1000s of skins.
You can create your own filters and skins.
More over its Open source
Thanks a lot to JALBUM.

Version: JAlbum 6.4
"Very easy to use, simple to understand."
Pros: Very straight forward. Attractive templates and skins.
Cons: I had a little problem with its FTP module but I don't think it was JAlbum's fault. Will continue exploring to see if there is anything negative worth reporting, but so far so good!
