Many programs can help you create photo albums for the Web, but few balance ease of use and functionality as gracefully as the free JAlbum. In JAlbum, you assemble your project step-by-step, arranging simple tasks in a logical order. You specify the original image folder, set the album-destination folder, select the images, and generate the album. The program offers a considerable variety of skins for your album and lets you preview them prior to selection. You can easily create a customized slide show from your images, too. The impressive online help pages provide tutorials and detailed assistance. Our favorite feature, however, was the built-in FTP client, which lets you directly upload projects to your Web site. Overall, Jalbum's clear interface and abundant features lift it above most of its competitors.Publisher's description
From JAlbum AB :JAlbum puts your photos on the Web. Drag and drop image folders onto JAlbum and easily generate Web albums. Album design can be fully controlled through the use of template files. Advanced features can be added with scripting. JAlbum extracts camera information and uploads generated albums to servers. It can run as a standalone window application or as a command-line utility, or inside a Web server as a JavaBean. JAlbum is for beginners and pros alike. It supports pluggable image filters.
New in version 4.4: JAlbum may now be run from other directories than its installation directory. This simplifies embedding JAlbum in other applications. Results from ftp connection test will appear in a pop up dialogue. New command line switch -skinsDirectory that specifies where to look for JAlbum skins.
