Island Racers is a racing game where you drive a car around one of a selection of different tracks against up to three other computer- or human-controlled cars. The idea is simple: complete the set number of laps of the track before anyone else does.

Here is a summary of some of the game's features: 5 different one-player tournaments (championship, league, knockout, time trial and pursuit) to race, each with three difficulty settings. 2-4 player simultaneous racing on either the same machine (split-screen) or over a local area network. 3 different multiplayer tournaments (league, knockout and pursuit). 40 original tracks to race in a number of different settings. 16 characters to choose from. High quality cartoon-style graphics, music, and sound effects. Full keyboard/joystick support with redefinable keys. Track records, ghost cars, mirror mode, instant replays, and hidden extras. Version 1.01 now has improved car control.
