From IVCSoft :Internet Video Converter makes it possible to convert the popular video formats thanks to a simple, complete, and effective interface managing open source software. It deals with MPEG video formats, flash video (FLV and SWF), DV, QuickTime, Windows Media Video, MJPEG, Apple TV, AVI (DivX, Xvid, and H264), mobile phone, 3GP, PSP, and iPod.
Videos from YouTube, Dailymotion, and Megavideo can be downloaded and converted directly. A video player is integrated, as well as functions for extracting soundtrack to MP3 and video rotation for movies coming from numerical devices.

"Did not work with flv format"
Pros: Seems to have a lot of options
Cons: Did not convert youtube flv video

"Wanted to convert an swf to mpg and it failed."
Pros: Seems like nice software, but missing dll error? Ha...
Cons: Failed to do what i downloaded it for, so what did I download it for? Nothing. Waste of time. Will not convert swf to mpg... or anything else for that matter since it cannot even read swfs...
Summary: I'm sure it can do something, however i need swf to mpg converted and it's kinda disappointing when the reason this cannot be done is because a dll file seems to be missing. Maybe something else is causing the error, but it would be nice to know wha... read more >>

Pros: If it had worked and did all it said it would, it was a easy to use software. It just didn't work.
Cons: Didn't work. Error said a .dll file missing & needed to reinstall. I did so it 3 times. I finally got the software to convert MP3 -> AVI, but still got the same error. Converted file's video was clear, but the audio was VERY distorted.
Summary: If they fix the missing files and get it to work, it should be a good piece of software. It is not ready yet.

"Plays (almost?) any video, and converts most."
Pros: Has a huge range of conversions. Also can resize videos to different aspect ratios, option for not converting audio.
Really, there's more features than I even know what to do with, but works well.
Also impressed me with it's conversion speed.Cons: Again, alot of features, some that I don't know what they're for. May have just been the 2 files I tried (both from same site, .flv files), but crashed when attempting to convert to svcd.
Summary: I would recommend this program to anyone who plays around with videos and needs to do some converting here and there. It's a lite program and easy to use even for the computer not-so-literate.

Version: Internet Video Converter (Standard) 2.10
Pros: No pros. It doesn't work.
Cons: Doesn't work. It appears to be missing a flie called ptheradGC2.dll. I've reinstalled it several times, even downloaded the installer again. Nothing fixes it.
Summary: Don't bother. Until they fix this problem you are wasting your time with this program. It's a shame, since I've been reasonably satisfied with the earlier versions.
