Internet Cyclone is compatible with all modems and high-speed LAN, ISDN, CABLE, DSL, T1 or other connections. This software will still be useful to you after upgrading your connection.

In the vein of "your mileage may vary," this Internet connection optimizer may help you a little, a great deal, or simply not at all.

Internet Cyclone's interface won't blow you away, but it is compact and informative. Optimizing your system is an art, not a science, with this tool. You choose your connection type, and with merely a click, Internet Cyclone will adjust numerous Windows settings. Whether they improve your connection speed depends greatly on your ISP, router, and system.

This utility offers three methods to boost speed, but doesn't explain the reasoning behind each. It doesn't hurt to try all three since you supposedly can save your original settings. But wait, those original settings failed to save after our test machines rebooted. This demo also blocks saving select settings that are available only to registered users.

You can change some values manually, but this utility doesn't help inexperienced users understand the pertinent settings. Novices will like the automatic configuration modes, while advanced users will appreciate having all the controls in a single place. The users who do gain significant speed will call this utility a lifesaver, but the rest will wonder if it was worth the trouble.

  "It's good but not so helpfull, for the beginner."

  Pros: Well it improves my internet isp connection, and it works on not so fast adsl setups. which is something I neeted the most.

  Cons: from the above submisions you may very easily understand what impressed me and what it dit not.

  Summary: There are a lot to be done to the sotware, to make it more functional. F.e. make it more simple to the rooky user. or have a version for the rookys. Next show the improovement in practice, and in a percentage of optimization. Things that are not op... read more >>
