it sprang into action three times in three hours, running my macbook pro into very hot continuously. No help available that i could find to explain this behaviour so I uninstalled it, and now my machine is cooling down.

Summary
Installed this "thing" to protect a dual-boot iMac and upon activation, the machine came to a crawl. Very unresponsive, took more than 30 minutes to switch or start applications. Resource manager showed high cpu utilization from the software, plus high memory utilization. The software would continually ask for credentials, but would not accept correct credentials. After a few hours of this behavior, tried to uninstall the software. Read the procedure and started the installation program. After 10 hours (overnight), uninstall option never progressed beyond the screen with the uninstall button. Had to download a stand-alone uninstaller from the website. This option took about an hour to complete, but finally was successful. After the uninstall, the machine was back to its normal, zippy self.
Stay away from this deplorable software at all cost!
