VirusBarrier X5 protects Macs from viruses by examining all the files that are read or written, as well as watching for suspicious activity that may be the sign of viruses acting on applications or other files. If the program finds any viruses, it can repair the files immediately, display an alert, or put the files into a quarantine zone. Users can run scans either automatically or manually, using VirusBarrier X5's on-demand scanner to check any files, folders or volumes at any time.

VirusBarrier X5 now offers the ability to scan files and applications on the iPhone and iPod touch in search of malware or files that indicate that exploits have compromised the devices. Users connect an iPhone or iPod touch to their Mac, then choose the device and scan it with VirusBarrier X5.This update also addresses some minor issues and improves overall stability. This update is recommended for all VirusBarrier X5 users.

"A lot of work for nothing. Pass on this AV."
Pros: Quick and easy to download.
Cons: If a virus is found, you can`t delete it in the trial version. You need to buy it. Not a trial at all.
Summary: Apart from being way over-priced, I just wish that these people would be honest from the start and tell us that we won`t be able to get rid of any virus in the trial and that we need to buy it. Limitations state that there is a 30 day trial, it shou... read more >>
