From FileStream :InstallConstruct simplifies the creation of packages, setup wizards, and uninstallers for Windows 3.1, 95, 98, and NT. It uses an expanding wizard system and intuitive, step-by-step procedures. This program not only creates setup wizards and HTML-based installations, but also automatically saves each step of your work as a package script file. These script files save you the repetitive task of manually creating similar packages and updating existing ones. They support command-line batch processing in unattended operation, so they can be automatically created without user prompts. Additionally, the package offers user-defined customization capabilities for graphics and 3D logo text, multiple levels of compression, hidden password protection, international language support, and the ability to create standalone setup programs.
Version 3.3 offers many important new features, including a license-agreement page with user-definable buttons and text. It also allows you to copy files to different locations depending on the OS, copy only those files with the selected attributes, copy files with special overwrite options, backup existing files, and use semicolons in registry data. The previous update included new font package delivery features. Build 100630 includes a new, enhanced password protection feature.
The HTML-based installation is disabled in the unregistered version. The cost to register is $199. This version is now compatible with Windows 2000 for file distribution.
