With its straightforward interface and whimsical attitude, IncrediMail appeals to the casual e-mailer, but actually offers enough features--like Exchange server support--to be functional for more serious endeavors. You can personalize your messages with background stationery from a variety of categories, including animals, art, technology, and moods. The program installs with about 50 backgrounds, most with a cartoony feel, and you can download more online or create your own with Letter Creator (a 10-use trial comes with this download). It supports recorded voice attachments, and the premium version supports skins.
There are a few drawbacks. The overall interface lacks pizazz and looks like it was last overhauled back when emoticons were new. There's a questionnaire that must be filled out when installing the program, annoying even at three questions long. More significantly, IncrediMail turns into quite the resource pig when playing around with graphics-heavy backgrounds.
The features are solid, though. The program offers basic e-mail client functions, including sending, receiving, and organizing messages; managing your address book; and creating rules for how to handle certain messages. Among its other included features are an integrated JunkFilter that lets you assign permission for senders or domains, IMAP support via a POP3 emulator, and Message Rules functions that work in concert with JunkFilter. IncrediMail makes standard e-mail a bit more fun for home users, especially for kids and kids at heart.

Version: IncrediMail Xe build 1787
"For all lovers of something different and appealing in an email client."
Pros: With features galore, this program stands out as one of the most visually satisfying email clients out there. You can import your own backgrounds, sounds (little snippets of wav files) Record your own voice (upgrade needed but WORTH IT) Has an embedded Mediaplayer like most websites to view emailed clips - no more switching to see it in your default player! Fully Skinable and the smileys and characters are all there just begging to be used. Has a notifier for you emails in characters such as a Butler and a Duck - what more can you ask for really!
Cons: I think this is where a few of the negative reviews come into play. Both Hotmail and Yahoo DEMAND CASH to be able to import Yahoo and hotmail accounts into this program! Though this is at no way Incredimail's fault - though it will say it can (and it can but for a price by the the above said companies) This I find discusting to say the least! Considering programs like E-Prompter can do all three I don't see the difference.

Version: IncrediMail Xe build 1787
Pros: I liked it in the beginning, and seemed ok.
Cons: This Incredimail is littered with adware.Leave well alone.I downloded it and what a mess it made on my pc, It took nearly 4 days to rid it completely from my pc.Its a wolf in sheeps clothing.Dont get me wrong it is a brilliant programme, but if you want spyware, adware and lots of hours graft to rid it from your system, go ahead!

Version: IncrediMail Xe build 1787
Pros: my version is a paid version. I love all the bells and whistles it has and i have no more boring email. I have used Incredimail for about 2 1/2 years now and i have never had a problem. Easily updates when there avalible on the incredimail website. I also have the letter creator which i can easily make my own back grounds and add them to incredimail.
As for everone complaining that it is full of ads and stuff... Quit complaing ... if your gona get the free version and not upgrade to the paid version then thats what your gona get. I have no Ads in my incredimail. I have a spy and ad ware program installed on my computer and never has it detected anything from incredimail. Incredimail does have ads in the free version but not in the paid version. I think it is well worth it to get the paid version.
Cons: None .... I like everything Incredimail has to offer.
