There's a ton of great video content on the Internet, and Dailymotion is one of the most popular sources for it. The unfortunate thing about online videos, of course, is the fact that they can't be viewed if you're somewhere without an Internet connection. Improved DailyMotion Downloader makes it easy to download videos from Dailymotion in a variety of formats, letting you entertain yourself with videos even when you're offline.
The program really couldn't be easier to use. It appears as an icon in your computer's system tray, and to download a video you simply navigate to the desired content in your Web browser and then click the icon. The program automatically detects the video and asks where and in which format you'd like to save it: AVI, MP3, AAC, 3GP, or FLV. We especially like the MP3 option, which lets users easily pull audio off of videos, making it a quick--if ethically and legally questionable--means of acquiring the latest songs. The program does not come with a Help file, but we can't say that this is a significant drawback; it has few features and they're all quite intuitive. Overall, Improved DailyMotion Downloader didn't do anything we haven't seen from other video downloaders, but it's easy to use and works reliably, so we have no complaints.
Improved DailyMotion Downloader installs a desktop icon without asking and leaves a Start menu icon and folder behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.
From Improved Software:
Improved DailyMotion Downloader is used to download a videos from DailyMotion to your PC. Application automatically detects video you are watching in a browser, and downloads it to format of your choice: AVI, MP3, 3GP or FLV.
It seems to be good but I uninstalled it until a later time
It asks you to install other programs. The installation did not go well. Something went wrong.
Upon installation it asks you if you want to install the Ask toolbar, then asks you if you want to install a couple of other programs. I clicked on Decline. Then asks you if you want to install icons. I said yes, but what installed was a couple icons for installing a dolphin wallpaper and something else. Something went wrong because there was an error or something like that. Then my computer became very slow and did not work well. Something went wrong and I had trouble with my computer. Maybe this was an isolated case, but I do not know. I uninstalled it and ran a registry fixer. Maybe I try it in another computer and see what happens.
The program installed completely and placed a little icon on the botton right side so that I could use it when I needed. I did not try how it actually worked because my computer became erratic and slow.
a simple click-choose your quality format and folder and it's done! also does multiple files and formats and can immediately play from it's downloader screen so you can check you got what you wanted. doesn't DL 0 byte "files" or waste your time.
a little slow but worth it for the quality, and you can make sure it's still working-display window stays open. other than the speed I'm extremely happy with it. forget realplayer and download helper-they're useless against copyright crap.
i am not hacker or technically inclined. the simplicity and easy set up and operation are great for people who just want to grab the file and get on with it. perfectly downloads and converts in one step. does not crash or muck up your memory.
