Anyone who needs a quick and easy way to edit and upload images will find this powerful freeware utility hits the mark. Combining two functions, ImageWell is designed specifically to modify images and post them to a Web server. You can perform simple edits by dragging an image onto the ImageWell icon. From there you can crop and resize, or add drop shadows, labels, text, and watermarks. You can also use its built-in screen-grab feature. We were happy that the program flawlessly uploaded files to our own Web server rather than just to the Mac-hosting service. We were disappointed that you only can upload one image at a time, which can be especially cumbersome if you have hundreds of pictures. That said, we think ImageWell finds the target on most accounts, making it perfect for bloggers, eBay posters, or for anyone looking for a flexible utility for editing and sharing photos.Publisher's description
From XtraLean Software :ImageWell is the easy way to edit, rotate, crop, and resize your image or screenshot, and upload it to your iDisk (.mac account), FTP/SFTP server, WebDAV server, or send to your flickr, SmugMug or ImageShack account. Add colored borders, take screen grabs, and store multiple locations for sending. At the click of a button, the image is sent and a handy URL is copied to the clipboard.
Universal binary for PPC/Intel Mac support, Leopard support, and localized in 14 different languages. Other feature highlights include: batch resize, batch watermark, layer multiple images on canvas, annotate images with arrows, text, circles, or squares, templates for saving styles, built-in screenshot functionality, brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness controls, variety of draw objects and line styles, gradient patterns for backgrounds, plus much more. Version 3.5.3 has moved canvas sizing control to a new location on the UI to make it easier to find and fixed batch mode crop bug.
