If you need to rapidly locate space-hogging duplicate photos, turn to Image Comparer. The well-organized interface doesn’t break any new ground in terms of design, but offers large, clearly labeled icons for performing most functions. You simply specify what folders or drives you want to scan, and the program will bring up a list of any identical images it finds. The application bases its comparisons on similarity percentages, so the higher you set the level, the more accurate your results are. However, even when we set the sensitivity level to 70 percent, Image Comparer proved quite adept at hunting down duplicate pictures and returned very few bunk results. You’ll also find a basic tool for applying smoothness to images, although the trial version won’t let you delete any matching images it discovers. However, we don’t find that restriction to be a deal-breaker, so we can recommend this program to both avid photographers and graphic designers.Publisher's Description

Image Comparer is a useful tool for finding images that look alike. It doesn't matter if the images have a different resolution or color range. Image Comparer will find all similar images even if one of them is in a JPEG format and the other in a standard Windows BMP format. The supported image formats are: JPEG, J2K, BMP, GIF, PCX, PNG, TIFF, TGA, ICO, and CUR.
Version 2.2 adds check for 100% similar images, recently opened databases list for quick opening, fixed bugs.

Found many duplicate and similar images! Tried another products like Dup Detector and Image Dupeless, but Image Comparer do the best

Luckily it didn't cost anything

The database took forever to build and when it did I couldn't do ANYTHING with the duplicate images it found. Pressing the Copy, Move or Delete buttons told me that I had to get the full version.
So what was I evaluating? How slow it was? The fact that I couldn't do ANYTHING with the duplicates? The fact that I couldn't select more than one image at a time and even that took a second or so to register.
Poor, poor software.

Cons
Terribly slow performance when building a database, and then its percentage/margin of error seems inaccurate. 97% finds everything; 99% finds nothing. Oy.
