Publisher's description
From ICONIX :Tired of trying to figure out which email messages might be phishing or fraudulent spam? Iconix eMail ID lets you see what's real before you even open the message. Iconix eMail ID works with your email program and double checks the source of a message to make sure it's not a spoof. It then uses a simple visual indicator in your inbox - a gold lock with a checkmark to show that a message is real.
E-mail from over 300 major senders is currently identified--companies such as eBay, PayPal, Citibank, Amazon.com, Expedia, MySpace, and the New York Times represent the top online sites for retail, travel, auctions, banking, e-cards, news/entertainment, and dating. The program currently works with Outlook Express and MSN Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, SBC Yahoo! Mail, Gmail and Earthlink web mail on Internet Explorer. Version 2.14.15 added support for Outlook Express in addition to all the web mail services.

Version: Iconix eMail ID 2.14.15
"No gold padlock appears to rate my emails."
Pros: Can't say.
Cons: I can't see the gold padlock anywhere on my screen when I go into my mailbox. My mail doesn't appear to be rated at all. I downloaded this bnecause I've been receiving unsolicited emails, offering viagra and other sex aids, which appear to be from genuine sources (first name and last name included in sender box).

Version: Iconix eMail ID 2.14.15
Pros: Thought it would be cool, kinda annoyed by fake emails and didn't find any other tools, this one is logical, just shows me what it knows are real, piece of cake.
Cons: Would also like support for Outlook 03

"After download, standard problem where no icon displayed!!"
Pros: Useful product if it works as described. However quite a large proportion of users experienced the same issue. No icons displayed. Making the product useless. No definitive solution given by Iconix.
