If you re looking to cut down on IM hassle, this freebie makes a pretty compelling option. Similar to programs such as Trillian, this program lets you access your ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and IRC accounts from one elegant blue interface. You just sign into different accounts with your username and password, and all your contacts will appear in the main window. IM2 operates like most other chat clients we ve seen, with features that allow you to disable logging, add emoticons, or attach files. Video and VoIP communication options are available, but unfortunately, they only work with users who also have IM2 installed. Like other programs in this class, you can enable this one to alert you when you have new e-mail. We can recommend IM2 to anyone who runs multiple chat programs and needs to consolidate.Publisher's description
From IM2 :IM2 is a next-generation communications hub, which provides streamlined access to AOL Instant Messenger, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, and even IRC, provided the user has pre-existing accounts set up with said networks. Audio chat is made available to all IM2 users, as well as the ability to send SMS messages to mobile phones and other devices. Video conferencing also is provided across all five supported platforms, as is multi-user file sharing in mind. IM2 also boasts security with Secure Channel Encryption enabled by default across all IM communications. Dozens of graphical skins are available for IM2, including instructions for designing fully customized skins.

Version: IM2 Instant Messenger 1.5
"It's not Trillian, but gets the job done."
Pros: IM2 is very easy to use and configure. It saved me from downloading AIM, YIM, and MSN to my computer making me save space. It has nice look and you can download new skins for it. It also gives you the power of tabbed IMing.
Cons: I wish that each protocol had it's own seperate window, instead of them having them all in one window. You can't download skins for the current version yet. I want to get a new skin, but it's taking way too long!

Version: IM2 Instant Messenger 1.5

Version: IM2 Instant Messenger 1.5
"NICE interface. BAD connections"
Pros: The interface looks nice. Somewhat familiar to Pidgin users... makes me wonder. Nice minimalistic approach. Everything is well organized.
Cons: It doesn't work. Will connect and then you are thrown out again, from MSN and Yahoo and ICQ. ICQ reports obsolete chat client version, while the other networks just disconnect you. Isn't good!

Version: IM2 Instant Messenger 1.5
"Great client software! Could be better"
Pros: Supports major instant messaging clients. Can send encypted IM Messages if both contacts use IM2.
Overall knowledge needed to use this program without reading help file: 5/10
Cons: Doesn't support webcam/audio unless other contact has IM2. Contact list messed up after importing. Missing features from other messenger clients (e.g. LAUNCHcast Radio, etc.).

Version: IM2 Instant Messenger 1.5
"Good Job but not a great one trillian/trillian pro is better"
Pros: it's generally more stable then Trillian and looks good.
Cons: could be hard for a novice to get setup and personal buddy icons can be tricky and you can't do voice or video or send files unless the other person has the same version of the program. so i have to give trillian and trillian pro the upperhand on the all in one messenger even with trillians little bugs and lack of updates lol.
