IE Tab is a Web developer's dream, and it's a must-have for Firefox users who are sick of firing up Internet Explorer to view IE-only Web sites. Version 1.2 introduced an even-easier-to-use interface. The old methods still work, as in right-clicking a link to access the View in IE Tab option, or pasting the link directly into the interface options.
Now, IE Tab installs a Firefox logo on the browser's bottom taskbar. Left-clicking it re-opens the current page in IE. Middle-clicking opens the current page in a new tab with the IE engine. Right-clicking shows the site's filter, which allows you to always open listed sites in an IE tab. The new functions make switching among IE tabs and Firefox painless and smooth, even if the Options menu takes a bit to get used to. Most importantly, it minimizes the amount of time needed to switch between Firefox and IE, a feature all Firefox users can appreciate.Publisher's description

"Not compatible with Firefox 3"
Pros: Firefox 3 is great but the add-ons will have to catch up as this one at least is not able to be installed on the latest version of the browser.
Cons: I like this add-on and therefore I will be rolling back to firefox 2

"A must have for Outlook Web Access users"
Pros: Without IE Tab Firefox is useless when you rely on Outlook Web Access (OWA). FF doesn't support OWA, but with IE Tab you can use FF as the only browser. Also useful for web development.

"Finally, I can stop using IE as my default browser"
Pros: First, now that FireFox 3.0 is released, this is compatible with it. The reviewers who say it's not were using an older version.
Second, this add-on makes it possible for me to set FireFox as my default browser now, finally! In the past I used IE as my default because too many sites were designed to run in IE and didn't render properly. With this add-on I can tell FF to open those sites in the IETab by default so I don't need to think about it. Very cool add-on, and totally necessary.
Cons: I wish this add-on would work in Linux, but I realize that it can't because there isn't a version of IE for Linux. One can dream.
