It automatically cleans up all traces of your Internet activity when you close the browser or shut down the computer. IE Privacy Keeper can correctly clean up the index.dat files without the need for a Windows restart. It also cleans up your system activity (recent documents, MRU lists). While not a full-blown suite of privacy-protection tools, IE Privacy Keeper provides more functionality than we usually expect from a piece of freeware. The program's tabbed interface isn't pretty, but it does logically arrange all of the cleaning implements. This application can not only get rid of your Internet Explorer traces, but it also can zap your surfing history from Firefox. You can choose to keep any cookies, URLs, or temporary files by adding them to a whitelist. IE Privacy Keeper also wipes away traces from certain Windows system areas such as the Run menu and the Clipboard. It supports a few third-party apps such as popular media players and MS Office programs, but the list is definitely quite small. You'll also find a feature that can delete any selected folder on your machine, but it doesn't use secure algorithms to eradicate data. And in lieu of a true scheduler, this utility only can automatically perform cleaning sessions on select occasions, such as after system start-up. In spite of its shortcomings, we still think this freebie makes a decent pick for privacy-concerned folks on a budget.

  "Selective privacy cleaner."

  Pros: With IE Privacy Keeper you can select what you want to clean or keep. You can clean temporary internet files, browser history, auto complete forms, cookies and recently typed urls. Click on system and you can clean windows temp folder, open save history, run history, recent documents, clipboard and search auto complete.

  And clean recent files list windows media player, quick time player, real player, real one player, ACD see, microsoft word excel and power point, win zip, win rar, and acrobat reader. Also you can keep a list of recently typed urls, cookies or what ever you want yo keep before cleaning.

  Cons: Only supports Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers.

  "Great tool and it is free!!!"

  Pros: I have used various other programs with trial periods and this has just the features I need and it is free. I especially like the customization per user account.

  Cons: No cons just suggestions: 1) The UI could use some improvement. 2) Mouse over help dialogs might be nice.

  "Simple, Seamless - Automatic"

  Pros: Sets up easily in minutes. A few basic entries for cleanup 'triggers' and how you want the log window to appear. Has a section for you to add paths (optional) for it to delete files from.

  The program starts up in the background automaticly, does its job when a 'trigger' that you select happens and then disappears awaiting the next 'trigger'.

  Pros: gets rid of cookies,temporary internet files,browser history,typed urls and download manage history. It cleans up simple things on your system like temporary files,window open/save history,Run history,recent documents,flash cookies and much more

  Pros: Its free. it supports all windows op systems. it gets rid of annoying Autocomplete entries. it removes recent documents. it helps me surf the internet faster, delete cookies and temp files, it clears out the address bar entries manually, and its simple to use
