Pros

The options, format, and effects of this GAME are decent.

Cons

Not really a simulation, it seems, as the game seems to have programming built in to go AGAINST the players bets. I purchased the CD-ROM version of this, and played many, many times, and all too often the results go against the bettor.

Summary

The review by "gdel1" is correct. In poker play, the player gets FAR MORE 2's than should be expected, and during regular runs of play. It is not uncommon playing against 8 players to have runs of numerous hands giving you a 2 as a kicker. With 8 players, this should not happen anywhere near as frequently as it does.

The same goes for craps, but there the programming seems to run against the user. I played Don't Pass with Don't Come hundreds of different sessions, and almost every time, starting with a $250 bankroll, I would end up down to almost the end of my bankroll starting out. Pass Line or Don't Pass are almost a coin toss in tru odds, so this should not happened anywhere near the frequency it did. Needless to say, why play this with such programming in a game where the odds are WITH THE HOUSE ANYWAY???? Why did the software "game" need to be slanted like this?

If you want to work on controlling your "steaming" emotions during bad runs, this idiotically programmed game might help. That's it.

i was downloading the program when my virus alarm went off

so there must be some thing wrong with this program so dont download it

if you think im lieing then down load it smart ass and find out

Pros

I love hoyle games and this one yet again lives up to what I have come to expect...

Great graphics, great sound, animated characters and not to mention it was a fast download. I have had no problems with this game and have now had it on my system for a few month. It has never crashed on my computer. I stick to playing texas hold em and the slots. Its a great game and I do recommended it.

Cons

It gives you a 2 and a queen almost every hand, Or a 2 and a King. Without fail.

This game knows what you are playing on any game.

Hoyle is the best brand for delivering games with entertaining animated characters, great voice talents, and realistic gaming.

Cons

I purchased the download-version and have had trouble with it crashing. Encore's own website admits that the game has not been tested on laptop computers. To be on the safe side, if you intend on operating the game on a laptop, buy the CD version. On a separate note, Hoyle Casino's video poker games have always left a lot to be desired. They're appearance is 1970s Atari-quality compared to the other games.
