"Great "Live" presentation & collaboration tool - inexpensive"
Pros: I've been in outside sales, and traffic, in So Calif. all my life. Nice, great productivity tool. I've been using this for a couple of months now:
+ Gets you that "face time" factor with customers much more so than using the regular phone.
+ Definite "cool" factor.
+ In terms of "time is money" this rocks.
+ Keeps me out of LA traffic! And the gas station.
+ 5 rooms for $45 is cheap, fixed, none of that usual telco add-on nonsense.
+ Replaces the regular phone, and long distance charges, but not the cell phone.
+ Cuts down on fax and email.
+ Great for one-on-one or group interaction.
+ Presentation modes allow me to push particip[ants through web sites, rather than trying to coax them through it over the phone.
+ No longer need to use the phone or conference line AND the computer at the same time.
+ Superior audio quality (generally) compared to above.
Cons: - It's not really the software, but getting everyone to a meeting on time (that cooperation thing) and password coordination.
- Takes a little getting used to, and practice, as a mode of communication.
- Some are reluctant to download and use it, but once they do, it's great.
- Password management (again not really the software.)
- Getting people to the right "Room."
