This free application executes macros with little effort, but disables a fundamental feature. Though it includes a setup wizard, configuring Hot Keyboard is a breeze. Its uncomplicated interface lets you import and export existing macros or create one by simply clicking on Add. Choose the action to be performed such as open a file, launch your browser, volume control, or record keystrokes among others, then assign a hot key and you're done. Although we can record keyboard and mouse actions, the playback feature is reserved for the upsell version. On the plus side, you can create a hot key to execute Hot Keyboard, start recording macros, or show a reference card for a quick listing of macros you've previously created. Set your tasks to begin daily, weekly, monthly, or on a specific day and time. This software is useful for executing most computer operations, but those needing a macro creator for repetitive keystrokes and mouse movements should keep shopping.Publisher's description
From Intorine :Hot Keyboard assigns to hot keys such repetitive tasts as application launches, opening web-pages, establishing and terminating dial-up connections, etc. Hot Keyboard can quickly change sound volumes and can control CD-player and Winamp. Version: Hot Keyboard 2.7
"Very easy to use and understand"
Pros: The program ran through an initial set-up wizard, which in essence created all of the hotkeys that I needed
Cons: I don't really like the fact that the hotkeys don't work when the HotKeys window is displayed.

Version: Hot Keyboard 2.7
"Works but, Uninstallation is bugged!"
Pros: Worked, I was just testing it to see if I should put it on my sisters computer.
Cons: When I uninstalled it, Spybot Search & Destroy came up and it started asking me for permission to remove all of my startup programs. If I didn't have Spybot on my computer, all of my startup programs would have been removed!
In fact, I didn't read what Spybot had to say when I was uninstalling, so I kept clicking "ok" until I realized that it was removing other Startup Programs!
I'm not going to install this on my sister's computer.
Now I have to figure out what programs I removed from startup.
DO NOT UNINSTALL THIS PROGRAM

Version: Hot Keyboard 2.7
"Automate your daily repetitve PC work with Hot-Keyboard"
Pros: I work in a very high pace call center ? There are a lot of tedious pull-down menus in trouble-ticket applications and much repetition as well. I have recorded the ?mouse? or ?keystrokes? to perform these repetitive operations. This is so much more efficient & error free & decreases repetitive strain injury.
Constantly entering commands on routers and switches can become uncomfortably tedious and Hot-Keyboard macros can be used here as well and have made many macros that are link together to run many router commands.
I have ?booked marked? a lot websites within Hot-keyboard menus system, it so much faster than using ?favorites? & better organized under a specific job functions. I just hit a few keys & I am able to launch a "Dispatch page" to a tech, or get status on a problem as well.
It has automated my Office Space, you could say, & I am lost without it. It?s an easy to use program & I have been using it since 2001 its just saves me a great deal of time by with the ability to automate repetitive tasks in a Call Center environment.
