"The best keyboard macro application I have found."

Pros
I have been using Hot Keyboard for many years. I have hundreds of macros that I use daily to save time. Everything from adding a greeting and salutation to an email, to adding CSS coding to format my listings in ebay. Hot Keyboard is so easy with which to work. Select the text, press a dedicated key combination and voila, its done. Saves thousands of key strokes. Easy to sync two PC to the same macro library. Last but not least, the developers listen and are eager to make the product better.
Cons
Some of the options are difficult to find. For example Hot Keyboard has a search feature that helps you manage the macros. But instead of a button that is readily visible, you will find the Search option under the Print option.
Summary
I highly recommend Hot Keyboard, you can't go wrong.

Summary
I use hot keyboard on a daily basis, I've put all repetitive tasks to the hot keys and feel very comfortable. No more start menu diving to launch an app. Also I do use Hot Keyboard for other tasks, for example, I had to test a web form of 100 pages. I've recorded a macro and had a cup of coffee while Hot Keyboard was doing the job for me.

I wanted to assign a few function keys to do special operations. Hot Keyboard provided an easy way to reassign the keys, just as I wanted.

Cons
On October 29, 2007 I purchased Hot Keyboard software from RegSoft and I received notice from RegSoft that the credit card purchase had been approved and that my purchase of the Hot Keyboard product had been completed.
RegSoft's Order Number is10292007-30992-3198. Purchase of Hot Keyboard, Tracking Number 6478266.
However I have not received a registration code from Hot Keyboard. I have made a number of requests for the registration code but have not received any reply from Hot Keyboard.
The Hot Keybord folks are either sound asleep or out of business.

I had a project involving transferring data from Excel to a proprietary database. Had to do a repetitive series of key strokes. HKP sped up my process dramatically.
Cons
If I set the speed to fast... it made some botched entries... but simply slowing it down solved the problem.

I set Ctrl+alt+0 as hot key to open outlook express ,but it dose not work. In any case, it improves my efficiency, like pengsdata give me.

I've used this program for a long time, and I've never found any other program more critical to my daily operations. People constantly comment that I "fly" around the computer as with a keypress combination I can launch any program or folder that I want while others are still searching for the icon or through levels of menus. This program works a lot better than Windows native key-mappings -- and even works while inside full-screen programs (ex: games). As others mentioned it is very light-weight and does what it promises. A lot of advanced functionality (macros, variables, recursive chaining) make this program really powerful - but it is easy to use for just simple purposes too (ex: I map Ctrl+Alt+I to open up (or switch back to) my web browser, Ctrl+Alt+O for e-mail, etc.).

This product is very flexible considering its simplicity. Power users will find it very helpful in doing find/replace, cut/paste, and repetitive keystrokes one might wish to simplify. The new version includes direct editing of macros, a much more powerful feature

some bugs found; major ones include the control key getting stuck in the 'on' position, macros set at maximum speed outpacing the CPU and failing to run in entirety* Because of these, non-power users may find this more of a hassle, though simple keystroke reassignments may still prove useful.
*the addition of direct editing in the newest version provides a way to fix this, for advanced users at least.
