Hitman Pro is a second opinion scanner, designed to rescue your computer from malware (viruses, spyware, rootkits, etc.) that have infected your computer despite all the security measures you have taken (such as anti virus software, firewalls). Just relying on a single vendor is not sufficient to completely protect you. You do need a second source to make sure you are secure. Hitman Pro is designed to work alongside existing security programs without any conflicts. It scans the computer quickly (less than 5 minutes) and does not slow down the computer (except for the few minutes it is scanning). Hitman Pro does not need to be installed. It can be run straight from a USB flash drive, a CD/DVD, local or network attached hard drive.
What's new in this version: Version 3.5.6.108 has added protection against the LNK vulnerability.

Absolutely NONE at all.
Summary
I, somehow, got the 'Google redirect virus'. After hours upon hours of downloading and running various virus scans, spy-ware/mal-ware removers and trying to manually remove this virus - It took Hitman Pro exactly 3 minutes and 45 seconds to find, heal, repair and remove the virus.Hit man pro is a total lifesaver!

Summary
We had this program installed on our desktop, it ran occasionally and never found much to remove other than cookies. Well, a trojan got through our antivirus software a few days ago and blocked every file on the computer from opening! We were seriously considering reformatting the hard drive. Hitman was the only program that would run and was able to detect a trojan proxy on our computer. It cleaned the computer and we are so thankful! (we did try running virus scans in safe mode using avg and nothing bad had been detected!) I highly recommend this product!

The speed of the scan. The fact that it can install and run in safe mode (with networking). It finds what the others have missed.
Cons
The cost after the trial expires seems a bit high, but maybe not for cloud software. I like the concept since it saves space and processor power on my machine.
Summary
I had tried all the free reputable scanners and nothing could remove the stubborn browser hijacker infecting both Chrome and IE. HitMan installed on my XP machine in safe mode (amazing!), then found and removed the annoyance in a matter of 4 minutes.

it did detect some trojans and malware

it couldnt remove them because for some reason about 25% of the way thru the scan it "encountered a problem and had to close" I tried to run it again and it did the same thing each scan was about 12 minutes i don't advise anyone to use this crap!
