Hitman Pro is a second opinion scanner, designed to rescue your computer from malware (viruses, spyware, rootkits, etc.) that have infected your computer despite all the security measures you have taken (such as anti virus software, firewalls, etc.). Just relying on a single vendor is not sufficient to completely protect you. You do need a second source to make sure you are secure. Hitman Pro is designed to work alongside existing security programs without any conflicts. It scans the computer quickly (less than 5 minutes) and does not slow down the computer (except for the few minutes it is scanning). Hitman Pro does not need to be installed. It can be run straight from a USB flash drive, a CD/DVD, local or network attached hard drive.
What's new in this version: Version 3.5.8.121 added detection and removal of latest TDL4 bootkit, improved behavioral scan and removal engine, and updated Czech language.

"Didn't Work & Poor Customer Service"

Didn't Resolve Issue Causing My Problem. Customer Service Wouldn't Issue Refund Since I Didn't Take The Time To Call Their Support Line. The reason for downloading online was for a quick fix, not to deal with customer service on the phone. If you are looking for a quick fix, this isn't it. A Norton download fixed my problem quickly and without having to speak with a customer support person.

Found the parastic google redirect malware in 2 minutes flat.
Executes without mercy and leaves no tracking cookies behind.
A good professional hitman that works well with others (and on a contingency basis) is hard to find these days.Cons
Not perfect, but who is.
Summary
Awhile back I got infected with the dreaded google redirect virus. I must have tried 20 different anti-malware programs before downloading the free 30 day trial of Hitman, who immediately destroyed it and gave me my computer back. I should have dumped McAfee right then, because it happened AGAIN. This time Hitman missed, but AVG found it, Hit man found some other malware that AVG missed though, so you really DO need a second opinion at all times. It's gettin' ugly out there.
