"Excellent and fast."
Version: HistoryKill 2005.1.94
Pros
I've had HistoryKill since 2002 and upgraded in 2005. I have always really liked it because it cleans up my files and registry beautifully and in no time at all. It's a real Godsend.
Cons
None that I have found.

"Doesn't work!"
Version: HistoryKill 2005.1.94
Pros
Cleans to a basic level in vista
Cons
Using a free 'File Recover' program, it managed to turn up files from 2007 plus viewable jpegs and a very detailed internet history from 3 years ago. It has a maybe 60% sucess rate on shredding sensitve files - it doesn't do what it claims to!
Summary
If it doesn't clean EVERTHING then what is the point of this program? At best, there shouldn't be readable files recovered from the recycle bin but there were plenty -its as though it only 'shreds' every other file. That was just a basic scan, I'd hate to see what comes up on a thorough scan!

"Doesn't work with Windows 7"
Version: HistoryKill 2005.1.94
Pros
Use to do a great job of clearing out everything on Vista and XP.
Cons
Does not clear history in Windows 7 for either FireFox or IE
Summary
I upgraded to Windows 7 and cached pages still there. I upgraded to the latest version and still not working. Not worth buying and support is non-existent. Dont waste you money.

"Terrible Support"
Version: HistoryKill 2005.1.94
Pros
Great Program, I've used it before
Cons
Don't know if they're out of business, but when you purchase, you won't get the unlock code. I tried to contact them by phone, email and online. Never got a reply. My bank couldn't ever get them to reply either.
Summary
You'll get ripped off if you purchase

"Horrible Customer support"
Version: HistoryKill 2005.1.94
Pros
Can't think of any
Cons
Zero customer support.
I paid and downloaded the program and never recieved an unlock code. I tried contacting them numerous times, no response. I'm out $25 and I can't unlock the program.Summary
Do yourself a favor and save money, DO NOT purchase this garbage.
Dowload free CCleaner, it does a much better job. -
"Good program, service sucks"
Version: HistoryKill 2005.1.94
Pros
The program actually does what it's designed to do. You won't find a trace of anything done on the net once you've closed your browser. I just got the upgrade for 2010.
Cons
Don't expect to get much help from their customer service. Took me issuing a dispute with my credit card co. to get anyone to answer my emails.
Summary
Good program just hope they give you the right information the first time around.
