From HippoEDIT :HippoEDIT is a text editor for Windows, primarily targeted at power users and developers. It has a modern user interface, multi-tab environment, seamless Web browser, file and project explorer, external tools integration. The editor comes with pre-defined syntax highlighting for C++, Java, Perl, PHP, HTML, XML. To facilitate text editing it provides more than 160 integrated commands with customizable keyboard shortcuts, code auto-completion, code hints and code templates engine with big set of built-in tags. Source code outlining, current scope and change lines indication, mismatching brace highlighting, indent guides etc. help in code analysis. Clipboard ring, full support of drag & drop, transparent usage of clipboard formats to paste syntax-highlighted code into other applications smoothly integrates it in your work environment.
Other features include powerful search and replace, different text encodings support, printing and previewing, syntax specific code formatting. Version 1.2.135 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"Perfect universal programmer�s editor for every day use."
Pros: Perfect universal programmer�s editor for every day use.
Very good UI design and source code highlighting possibilities.
Especially I liked Visual Studio like code outlining feature with display of current scope.
Something special in comparing to other text editor! Use it.

Version: HippoEDIT 1.2.135
"Excellent Software in this category"
Pros: Very powerful and easy to use editor with extended list of supported programmer languages. Strong personalization allows me to customize this editor as I like.
As my opinion, the editor is very good as fast viewer for mixed content.
Cons: will be nice to have a plug-in mechanism for 3rd party developers
